Omar or Omar e Farouq is a small Arabic television series created by the telecommunications organization MBC1. This is none other than a Syrian named Hatem Ali. Omar’s series was broadcast on Qatar TV from 20 July to 18 August 2012, including 30 scenes of 45 minutes each during Ramadan. The Umar series details the existence of Islam’s second extraordinary caliph, Hazrat Omar ibn Al-Khattab (R.A.). Omar’s series also has to face debate as our Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is portrayed as a hero very much like the other Caliphs of Rashidun Hazrat Abu Bakr (R.A.), Hazrat Omar (R.A.), Hazrat Usman. (RA) and Hadrat Ali (RA).
Filming of the Omar series was completed in Morocco, particularly in the urban communities of Tangier, Marrakech, Casablanca, El Jadida and Mohammedia. Following its official broadcast on MBC (Middle-East Broadcasting Center), Omar’s series is named after several dialects of world broadcasting and also has English subtitles. We will also provide links to watch with Urdu naming and also with English subtitles.
At the same time, Omar’s series has also received tremendous help from researchers and people around the world. The Omar series has just had a discussion about character portrayals, no matter how significant, they are constantly being judged to show the most solidly recorded reality. The chronological content of the Omar series was compiled under the direction of a supervisory board of researchers including Yusuf al-Karadawi, Akram Zia Omari, Salman al-Avda, Abdul Wahab Turairi, Ali al-Salabi, Saad Al-Otaibi.
The treaty which mainly states one’s belief, begins with the Caliph Hazrat Umar (R.A.) giving lessons to the pioneers during his journey to Mecca. He remembers the past when he was only 18 years old and working for his carefree father named Khattab ibn Nufayl. It becomes a flashback and the setting starts to show his past life. When he was a warrior, then, at that time, he emerged as a prominent money manager and supreme leader of the Quraysh clan, his life after converting to Islam and possibly a companion of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله ليه لم ). After converting to Islam, he proved to be a staunch devotee, a tremendous source of motivation for various Muslims, and a strong advocate who fought many Islamic battles.
The series about Umar covers the entire story of his life, the conquest of Mecca, the death of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله ليه لم), the appointment of Abu Bakr (R.A.) as the successor caliph and his death finally reaching the age when Umar RA was appointed Deputy Caliph. Omar’s series further clarifies the true superstructure of life and the intricacies he had to consider during the time of the Caliph, which ultimately led to his suffering through his death at the hands of Abu Lulu.
